Nature Walk

We pretty much stayed home this labor day. The area is so new to us, it sort of feels like we are on a perpetual day trip around here! Yesterday we drove up to the Shenandoah National Park and found an area called "Big Meadow". That's what it exactly was, a big meadow full of wildflowers and hundreds of beautiful butterflies. I normally don't take "scenery" pictures, but these were too hard to pass up. C had a pretty good time except for the "no-see-ums" that kept dive bombing his face. That is why in the one picture, he is covering his eyes.
